Exciting news: We have a new Food Director. Lois Harvie.
     She looks forward to meeting the parents and students at Sangre and providing more fresh, local and nutritious ingredients on the menu. Lois was a Cooking Matters Coordinator for San Luis Valley for the last 7 years. Her past experience as a Teacher of K-5 using food as a learning tool in the classroom and created a Kids Cooking program in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
      Also, they are creating a Wellness Comittee again to support the Local Food Program Grant that they received from the State, and are looking for any interested staff, parents and students who would like to join them for conversation and ideas on how to keep the program and food coming in the future. Meetings will be every 6-8 weeks. The committee has funds to feed folks and small stipends.

Wellness Policy participation
